The Palos Meltdown is the only local Chicago MTB race.
Thanks to CAMBr, Participation has more than doubled in the three years it's been around. Ideal conditions and a fast course helped gather the area's fastest racers.
This was the first year of SRAM sponsorship and all racers, spectators and organizers were excited to see SRAM support. We had XX components including an XX Revelation & Reba, 2 HammerSchmidt bikes, and a Santa Cruz V10 equipped with a 2010 Boxxer Team.
There was significant buzz around the cassette and X-loc. People kept referring to the new set of cogs as "jewelry". After testing a Hammerschmidt bikes riders are in shock and awe at the speed of the internal front transmission. Local riders and racers love what we are doing and it showed with a constant flow of bikes equipped with SRAM, Rockshox, Avid, or Truvativ components. We hope to continue to support the Meltdown and get more involved with the Chicago scene.

It was an honor having you be a part of such a fun event, and I can't think of any company more suitable as our premiere sponsor. Not only did you folks provide us with some awesome product to raffle off to the racers and volunteers, you also participated in this event. That is just TOO cool.

Online Registration for the 2010 Palos Meltdown opens June 1st for CAMBr members for just $28. Public registration begins June 21st for $30. Day of Race registration is $40.
